Why Junior Development Rowing at Leander?

Flexible Commitment

We offer practice sessions up to five days a week – from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm. Once your membership fee is paid, you can determine your level of commitment. We will boat every rower who shows up for practice!

Gain Valuable Rowing Experience

Rowers in the Junior Developement Rowing Program have access to singles, doubles, quads, and sweep boats. It’s a great opportunity for youth athletes to develop their rowing skills and teamwork! You will also be rowing along side our Junior Competitive Program so that you can see what to expect for the next steps in your rowing development.

Meet New People

The Junior Development Rowing Program is our newest program! It’s a great opportunity to meet other Youth Learn to Row graduates and secondary school rowers looking for additional on-water time.
